About Teach For Cambodia

Teach For Cambodia is a registered Cambodian nonprofit organization with the vision that one day, all children in Cambodia will have the opportunity to unleash their potential. Our mission is to enlist the energy and talent of the nation’s most promising future leaders to help fulfill that vision.

The Teach For Cambodia program is based on the Teach For All model first started in the United States 25 years ago by Teach For America followed by Teach First in the UK. Teach For All is now in 42 countries, including Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Today, Teach For America recruits top graduates from universities all over the country; on average, 18% of Harvard graduates apply for the program each year. Over 200 TFA alumni have gone on to work as social entrepreneurs. In the UK, Teach First is the third top graduate employer in the country, beating out companies such as Google, KPMG, McKinsey and other top finance, technology, and consulting firms.

Teach For Cambodia aims to recruit a diverse pool of fresh graduates and young professionals to commit two years as teachers in public schools through our rigorous, globally-recognized Fellowship program. Through this exposure, our Teaching Fellows will develop critical knowledge and first-hand understanding of the education system in Cambodia and the challenges it faces. With intensive training, support and professional development from Teach For Cambodia and our partners, Fellows will maximize their impact on students in the classroom and hone their leadership skills.

Teach For Cambodia will actively foster the leadership of the alumni and support them to become the next generation of Cambodian leaders in education, corporations, health, law, government, journalism, and entrepreneurship. They will work from inside and outside of the system to effect the changes necessary to achieve our vision of excellent education for all.

We are looking for...

A highly-motivated and dedicated individual from the private or public sector with strong project and event management skills to join our team. The ability to inspire and engage others, while managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and details are key to success in this role.

You will bring a creative mind and marketing sense to help launch Teach For Cambodia’s Fellow recruitment in a big way. With direction and guidance from the Director of Recruitment, Selection and Marketing (RSM), you will help plan and execute university-specific strategies to build significant brand awareness on campuses, including the Campus Ambassador volunteer program.
